A Little Easter Energy in Business

Easter has a lightness to it—bright colors, fresh starts, and the quiet reminder that not everything has to be so serious. And honestly? Business could use more of that energy. Yes, you’re building something meaningful, but that doesn’t mean it has to feel heavy all the time.

I’m a big believer that structure creates freedom—and freedom leaves room for joy. When your systems are solid, your business stops feeling like a constant grind and starts feeling…well, a lot more fun. 🌸

Here’s how embracing the lighter side of business can actually help you grow:

  • Make room for play and creativity 🎨
Creativity thrives when you’re not rushing or stressed. Giving yourself space to experiment often leads to better ideas and stronger results.

  • Celebrate progress, not just big wins 🥚
Easter egg hunts remind us that small discoveries matter. A smoother workflow or a clearer process is worth celebrating—it all adds up.

  • Let go of perfection 🐰
Not everything has to be polished before you move forward. Progress beats perfection every time, especially when you’re building momentum.

  • Build a business that fits your life 🌷
Work shouldn’t crowd out rest, laughter, or real life. A business designed with intention should leave room for all of it.

Seriously, business doesn’t need to feel rigid or overwhelming to be successful. When you allow yourself to enjoy the process, you show up more consistently, think more clearly, and connect better with the people you serve. That lighter energy is contagious—and clients and colleagues can feel it.

This Easter season, consider where you can soften the edges of your business. Streamline what’s messy, release what’s unnecessary, and give yourself permission to enjoy what you’re building. Success and joy are not opposites—they work best together. 💛

Something About Nothing

One of my favorite beverages is tea—hot tea. 🍵 Yeah, I know… riveting stuff. 😄 I’ll drink it year-round no matter how hot it is outside. Loose leaf, herbal, blooming, and very rarely what someone once described as tea bags… “tea leaf dust.” Tea will always be my go to beverage any day. 🙌🏽

Now, however, I’m drinking coffee about four times a week. Huh! 😯 One day I was invited to meet a potential client at a coffee shop—and that’s how my four-cups-a-week coffee habit began.

Most mornings I drink it straight up, but occasionally—when I want to feel like a “coffee drinker”—I add sweetened condensed milk, which is a pretty common thing in Jamaica. It’s simple and delicious without all the mystery ingredients in many creamers. ☕️

These days coffee also comes with good conversation. Over the last couple of years, I’ve been meeting friends and clients at coffee shops a few times a month, and it’s become one of my favorite ways to connect.

So now I’m curious—what’s your favorite, tea and/or coffee, and do you prefer it hot or cold?  👏🏽👏🏽
