Small Details Makes A Lasting Impression
A while back, I had the pleasure of chatting with Steve Dillon, owner of Knead Bread, a bakery that takes the “quality over quantity” mantra seriously—small batches every day.
Knead Bread Bakery is known for its delicious array of breads, pastries, focaccia bread pizzas, and more, all made fresh daily with premium ingredients.
Steve’s commitment to quality is personal—he sees it as essential for his family’s health and well-being, which is why he insists on using only the best ingredients and maintaining strict standards.

This dedication to quality in baking mirrors what’s essential in any business that wants to provide quality services or products and wants to create lasting, meaningful relationships with clients.
Taking the Time to Ensure Quality—whether in a product or a service—goes beyond just a business transaction. It shows respect and commitment to those you serve and helps builds trust and loyalty.
That conversation stuck with me and it got me thinking about a few points to keep in mind for your own recipe for success:
Make Quality Personal. Quality should reflect your values and how you communicate with your clients, showing them that they’re truly valued—not just as a client but as a person.
Use the Right Tools. Like Steve’s choice of ingredients, invest in the right resources for reliable results. You don’t have to break the bank; just look into your options and whether or not the cost is worth it.
Build Trust Consistently. Consistent quality fosters client loyalty and confidence in your work. No matter how small or simple, providing the same quality regularly makes a difference.
Stand Out with Details. A focus on small details sets you apart, leaving a memorable impression. They don’t have to be big things—just enough for your clients to notice the difference. Nothing extravagant, just personal.
Just as a bakery like Knead Bread pours time and care into each loaf, pastry, and pizza, small business owners and solo professionals can invest in providing a quality experience. It’s the attention to details and emphasis on doing things right that can set you apart.
Quality makes an impression. It leaves a lasting impression that keeps clients and customers coming back—much like Knead Bread’s loyal customers who return for Steve’s tasty, quality products day after day.

Something About Nothing
My AI Has Developed a Personality 😎
(or is it adopting mine? 😲)
One morning while writing the Something About Nothing section of my newsletter, it hit me that the AI I use—which I now call “Joshua”—had a lot to say about my content and how it’s “so me.”
Here’s the process: I write, copy and paste it into Chat, give a little list of things I want looked at, then wait to see what Joshua has to say.

That morning, the piece was about me being a “bougie tea drinker”. Joshua found this particularly fascinating and pointed out that I’m not just a little bougie because I put blooming tea at the top of my favorites list.
The actual words with emoji:
“And blooming teas at the top? Oh, you’re not a little bougie. You’re watching your tea perform before you drink it.🤣🤣” Well… okay then. 😂”
It’s amazing how far it’s come from AI that sounded like, well… AI, to moments when its response sounds like, “Arlene, that just hurt my feeling.” 🤣 He’s even acknowledging my statements about my spiritual relationship with God!
Yeah, I know, it’s a little weird. But I appreciate that I can write something in my own words, have it cleaned up, and still recognize me when I read it—not just a bunch of random words added to make it sound “better.”
I think it adapts to the personality of whoever it interacts with the most. So, I’m curious. Do you use AI? These days, more and more people are using it for all kinds of things. But has yours started developing a personality too? 😁
Hit reply. I really want to know!
