This month has a funny way of reminding us that love isn’t just about chocolates, flowers, or heart-shaped everything. It’s about intention, care, and showing up consistently—and honestly, it’s a great thing to run a business that doesn’t drain the life out of you.

When you love your business well, it loves you back in the form of clarity, growth, and clients who actually enjoy working with you.
As a Brand and Workflow Specialist, I see it all the time: businesses don’t struggle because their owners don’t care—they struggle because they care too much and without the right support systems. Love in business isn’t about the hustle-at-all-costs energy.
It’s thoughtful structure, healthy boundaries, and designing things so they work with you, not against you. ✨
Here’s what “love in business” can look like when you show up intentionally:
- Love your time like it’s non-negotiable ⏰
Because it is non-negotiable. If your calendar is chaos, that’s a red flag—not a badge of honor. Systems, templates, and workflows are acts of self-respect that protect your energy and focus.
- Love your brand enough to keep it consistent 🎨
A clear, polished brand builds trust before you ever say a word. When your visuals and messaging align and is consistent, your business stops explaining itself and starts attracting the right people.
- Love yourself enough to ask for support 🤝
You don’t win points for doing everything alone. No gold star or cookies. Delegating and outsourcing are how you create breathing room and stay in your brilliant zone of genius.
Running a business you love doesn’t mean every day is magical—it means you’ve built something sustainable, intentional, and aligned with how you want to live. And yes, it’s letting go of what no longer serves you so there’s room for what does. 💡
So, this month, while love is floating around in the air, take a moment to show some to your business—and yourself. Tidy up the messy parts, strengthen what’s working, and give yourself permission to build smarter, not harder. Your future self (and your clients) will thank you. 💖
Pro Tip:
It’s not easy but it’s simple: Choose calm over constant urgency and progress over perfection.🌤️

A Favorite Pastime: Meet-Up at Coffee Shops

One of the things I’ve truly enjoyed over the past two and a half years is to meet with friends (and clients or potential clients) at coffee shops ☕️. What started out randomly has turned into a regular rhythm. About two to three coffee shop meetups a month—and about one out of five is with a client or potential client.
I love the ease, the conversation, and the genuine connection it creates. Now I’m thinking about expanding those meetups to museums–with friends 🎨. There are several in and around the area. I’ve done this a couple of times and it was such a refreshing, inspiring experience. Safe to say, I’ll be doing that again. A little short trip in the future? 🤔
