Hot, Humid and Making Progress

As the temperature rises, so can the overwhelm—but it doesn’t have to slow you down—it’s an opportunity to refresh your approach and embrace a more flexible, feel-good workflow. Hot weather brings unique challenges (hello, afternoon brain fog 😵‍💫), but it also reminds us to slow down, stay hydrated, and stay focused on what really matters.

Staying focused can feel… sticky. 🥵 But just like a summer storm, the right mindset and tools can help you power through and stay productive—even when the humidity is trying to slow your roll.

That said, just like sunscreen for your skin, the right strategy can protect you and your business from burnout. Consider these steps to keep things cool and productive while keeping your business cool and thriving.

1️⃣ Hydrate Like a Boss
Keep your water bottle close—your brain and creativity depend on it! A hydrated entrepreneur is a focused one, and it’s the easiest way to beat that summer slump.💧

2️⃣ Take Breaks Before You Break Down
That mid-afternoon slump hits harder in the heat. Take a little stroll and get some sunshine. Schedule mini-breaks to stretch, breathe, or simply step away—your creativity will thank you. ☀️

3️⃣ Adjust Your Schedule
Take advantage of cooler mornings or evenings to power through high-focus work. Reserve the mid-day heat for lighter tasks or a much-needed break. Your productivity (and sanity) will thank you! ⏰🌤️

4️⃣ Outsource What’s Making You Overheat
If a task makes you feel like you’re wilting, it might be time to delegate. Whether it’s tech, design, or document overload—I got you. 🤝🔥

5️⃣ Keep the Creative Heat (Not Literal Heat)
Hot weather can zap energy, but it doesn’t have to zap your creativity. Try a change of scenery, like working outside in the shade or refreshing your workspace with summer vibes. 🌴💡

Hot and humid days may try to melt your momentum and slow you down, but it doesn’t have to. It can be an opportunity to refresh your approach and embrace a more flexible, feel-good workflow.

With the right mindset and a few cooling strategies, you can stay motivated and make this season one of growth with ease. Business doesn’t take a summer break, but that doesn’t mean you have to overheat trying to do it all.

Now, go grab that iced coffee (and a slice of einkorn bread), take a deep breath, and keep building, with brilliance, your business—without breaking a sweat. And when things heat up, I’m here to help you chill and get it all done. Let’s stay cool and creative together! 🧊

Something About Nothing

Einkorn bread with einkorn grains showing essential nutrients

I love when I’m inspired by someone or something to try something new or different! This past June, I visited a friend and walked in just as she was getting ready to put her bread in the oven.

I asked, “Whatcha baking?”
She said, “Einkorn bread.”
I said, “Mmm, what’s that?”

She explained it was a super healthy grain she’d started using to make this awesome bread. 👍🏽 She learned about it from one of our mutual friends.

Mmmm, tell me more—you know how I love healthy alternatives! She gave me the rundown while I read her baking and instruction recipe. “Wow, I should try that!” She immediately texted me a link about einkorn grains. Nice—my new project to explore! 💃🏽

Right before I left she gave me a slice. It was soooo delicious!! Now I’m baking einkorn bread and loving it. Fenugreek, kefir, einkorn… what’s next? Maybe kombucha? We’ll see—and the list will go on. 🙌🏽

Have you been inspired by anyone or anything new lately? 👏🏽
